The are a variety of unique places to fish in Knox County. Ariel-Foundation Park has three lakes you can choice from such as the West, East and Central lake. From there, you can try Thayer Ridge Park and Wolf Run Regional Park – all three parks are located in Mount Vernon. At Bat Nest Park in Danville, has a spot called the “Hope Fishing Access,” named after Hope Tumidanski, along with her husband, sold the area to the Knox County Park District in 2006. The Honey Run Highlands Park in Howard has been a popular spot. For all these places listed above, you will need an updated fishing license. After a nice day of fishing, you could stay the night at Sunset Ridge Log Cabin in Danville or The Cider House in Mount Vernon.
