New Directions serves all survivors of domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence in Knox County, Ohio. Our help goes beyond crisis. We offer a variety of trauma informed services, that are both confidential and free of charge: 24-hour hotline Safety planning, danger assessments, crisis shelter for adults and children, youth advocacy, individual advocacy, peer-led support groups, sexual violence advocacy, hospital accompaniment for victims, educational domestic and sexual violence sessions, legal advocacy and court accompaniment, civil protection order assistance, and information about community resources.   New Directions also offers prevention programming for grades Pre-K through 12, bystander intervention training for colleges and universities, Safe Zone LGBTQ+ 101 training, See the Signs training, and Stewards of Children training. We have both a youth committee, the Teen Advisory Council, and an adult committee, the Prevention Advisory Committee that work to promote prevention messages. New Directions envisions a community of empowered individuals engaging in safe, respectful and healthy relationships.
