Keep Calm and Color On Adult/Teen Coloring Program (Wed. 20 Jan, 2016 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm)

Can you color your way out of stress? Can a favorite childhood pastime really help adults expand their creativity while clearing their minds? To many who have tried the latest adult coloring craze, the answer is a resounding, "Yes!"

"Keep Calm and Color On," a new quiet and relaxing coloring program for adults and teens, will meet on Wednesday, December 16 and January 20, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street.

Over the past few years, researchers have found adult coloring program participants are less stressed, more relaxed and more focused. Coloring lessens anxiety and can be beneficial to people with brain damage and dementia.

Materials and coloring pages will be provided or participants are welcome to bring their own. A stress-free, tranquil environment and tea and cookies will be featured.

The program is free and open to teens and adults. For more information, call Cassandra Peters at the main library 740-392-BOOK (2665) Ext. 230, visit www.knox.net or email [email protected]
