74th Annual Danville Lions Raccoon Dinner

Dinner is $11 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under.  Dinner will be served until 7:30, or until raccoon runs out.

Since the beginning in 1939, the Club has truly lived up to the Lions motto "We Serve."  They have sponsored and facilitated hundreds of fundraising events and service projects to help th3e Danville area community and its citizens.  The Danville Lions Club is proud to serve and support the education of Cottrell's children by establishing this scholarship fund in his honor.

The 74th annual Danville Lions Raccoon Dinner will be held Monday, February 6 at the St. Luke's Community Center, located immediately behind the Danville St. Luke's Catholic Church.  Dinner will be served from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis.  The Devil Land Jazz Band will perform for attendees across the street in the High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.  The main event will follow the band at 7:30 p.m. with a presentation by a special guest, Bob Welsh.

Welsh is a motivational and inspirational speaker with a lifetime of personal experiences.  He served a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy, followed by a 29-year career as an Ohio State Trooper.  He was tactical commander of the Patrol's elite special response team.  Bob is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and has authored two books. He has shared his stories for every conceivable audience, as well as around campfires across the nation, for over 40 years.  So . . . relax and enjoy Bob's heart warming, humorous, educational, and enjoyable presentation.
