Halloween Brown Bag Chat: The Last Ones

“Surviving the end is only the beginning” may be the perfect teaser line for her latest book, but Author T. Michelle Nelson will take us back to the beginning of “The Last Ones,” and zombies for a fun Halloween Brown Bag Chat on Wednesday, October 26, noon, at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry Street.

Evie Stone is a small town girl who has moved off to college to better herself and make a new life outside of her rural West Kentucky roots. When the zombie plague breaks out, Evie has only one choice. She must get back home to her family and the safety of small town life. She will find her once quaint and beautiful hometown is now overrun with zombies and the only source of order is the local motorcycle gang. Can Evie and her family survive the ‘rotters’ as well as the dangerous bikers?

T. Michelle Nelson is an American author of paranormal fiction who currently resides in Mount Vernon. She was born in Benton, Kentucky. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Murray State University in the late nineties with an emphasis in Fine Arts and Literature.

She published her first book in 2012 when “The Life and Death of Lily Drake” was released by Inkspell Publishing. Since then, she has successfully completed the Lily Drake series which consist of three books and two short stories and is a best-selling author. “The Last Ones” is the first book in her new zombie series. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys traveling to New Orleans and spending time with her husband and son.

The program is free and open to all. Copies of her books will be available for purchase and autograph. A free copy will be donated by Friends of the Library as a door prize. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or wear your favorite zombie costume. Refreshments will be provided.
