2008 Knox County Visitors Guide

It is with great pleasure that we bring to you the 2009 edition of the Knox County Visitors Guide magazine. This is our 14th annual edition of this informative and detailed visitor magazine and marks the 19th year for the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). Since the magazine’s creation in 1996, the CVB has distributed over 820,000 copies of this magazine.

Family fun abounds in Knox County! We have three officially designated Ohio ByWays (Wally Road, US 62, and SR 514) in the northeastern part of the county. The Mohican River became our second to receive State Scenic River status. And the Kokosing was selected (2006) as Ohio’s first official “Water Trail.” We also have seen progress on the opening of additional portions of the Heart of Ohio Trail, our third rec trail. Plus, we have many other exciting opportunities— camping in our funsites, fishing in our lakes and rivers, canoeing, great golfing, stimulating jogging, the best dining, exciting biking . . . All of this combined is KnoxWays!

Come and celebrate with us — celebrate our history, our heritage, our lives as Americans. We invite you to participate in our stimulating events and to visit our profound attractions as we remember the sacred values that we cherish in America. It’s “Real People” that defines these important attributes of any community. These Real People live in Knox County, Ohio!

If you need current up-to-date scheduling or visitor information, please go to our website at www.VisitKnoxOhio.org, call 1-800-837-5282 or (740) 392-6102, or stop by our offices at 107 South Main Street in downtown Mount Vernon, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Thank you for your interest in Knox County. And remember, “Old times here are not forgotten . . .”
